Description
Music for Hope teaches from four music centres in the Bajo Lempa serving up to 21 communities (as students travel to the centres from other communities to learn). The communities in which the centres are based (La Papalota, El Zamorán, Amando López and Nueva Esperanza) kindly provide the secure spaces to keep the instruments and where the young musicians can learn to play and practice. It’s a collaboration though, because the communities themselves don’t have funds to pay for the electricity needed to power the lights, keyboards, electric instruments, amps, mics and speakers so Music for Hope undertakes to pay the energy costs. £25 can help to keep the power going and the music sounding, in two of our music centres for an entire month.
