FUNDRAISING

All of our fundraising is done by our team of trustees, volunteers and friends of Music for Hope, so if you have an idea for a fundraising event, we’d love to hear about it! Take the challenge and organise your own fundraiser for Music for Hope. Some of the things that our supporters have organised include a tea party for friends, a music recital and 3 course meal for friends, a sponsored bungee jump, a sponsored bike ride. We’ve had many successful fundraising events over the years:

21st Birthday Celebration

In 2017 we celebrated Music for Hope’s 21st birthday with a night of music and dancing in Manchester. Shaun Redlake, fingerstyle guitarist delivered a one-man show full of unexpected musical elements and stylistic song writing, followed by L’Chaim Kapelye, a professional Klezmer band based in the North West and got everyone dancing to their modern take on traditional Yiddish folk music.

Medieval Iberia – 26th November 2015: These two short videos are clips from a medieval-themed fundraiser held in 2015, in which the fundraisers played music from medieval Iberia and North Africa, told stories, and asked riddles from classical Greek myths in circulation on the Iberian peninsula and by the Iberian Jewish philosopher and poet Judah Halevi (d.1141).
