Description
The bass guitar is the gentle giant of a band and it’s sound ties the music together and gives it the momentum it needs. All the bands of the Bajo Lempa have a bass and a bass player. In the hot and humid climate of this low-lying coastal region, the metal-wound strings of the bass tend to oxidise very quickly and, while this can be slowed down by the application of oil, the oxidation affects the sound quality and makes the strings very tough and hard to play. This can become painful and off-putting, particularly for young musicians who are just learning. Your £10 therefore can help replace these old strings, giving new life to the instruments and enabling our young bassists to keep practicing without hurting their hands.
With this purchase you receive an ecard with artwork drawn by our students.
