El Sueno Existe Festival: 5th – 7th August 2022
Music for Hope are pleased to announce our participation in El Sueño Existe festival 2022!
El Sueño Existe is a Central and South American festival inspired by the music of Victor Jara and the Chilean new song movement. It provides a platform for cultural expression and discussion of differing points of view arising within green socialist politics. It does this through debate, music, and other cultural activities including visual arts, dance, theatre, poetry, workshops and ceremonies with the purpose of developing an awareness on the subjects of social justice, human rights and environmental sustainability.
This year, the festival is taking place from 2pm on Friday 5th August until 5pm on Sunday 7th August at Y Plas, Machynlleth, SY20 8ER. Festival camping and campervan tickets are available, and there are still spaces left on the coach from London. For more information about the line up, tickets and logistics, head over to www.elsuenoexiste.wordpress.com.
El Sueño Existe’s main themes for 2022 are El Salvador and Peace and Climate Justice. There will be a full programme of fantastic music, informative political workshops, cultural workshops, dance, poetry, theatre, visual art and a whole lot more. As part of this programme, Music for Hope is proud to be sharing our work at this year’s festival. We’ll be talking about our values, practice and approach and sharing short films of our young musicians. Tickets are on sale here and you can head to El Sueño’s website for more information.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
